{ Bellarmine Prep }

Lauryn started life as an Alaska native, so she says her love for the outdoors was “born in” :) We caught up with Lauryn (not an easy thing to do with this crazy-busy Bellarmine Prep senior!! :) at Wright Park. When she’s not in class or rockin’ her senior photos, you might find Lauryn either in the French horn section of the Tacoma Youth Symphony or at the top of the lifeguard tower at her local aquatic center (and yes – she belongs up there! ;)

Lauryn and her bff Mikaila got to the park early to scope out backdrops – they did a great job of finding some amazing spots – check out a few of our faves from our fun afternoon:

These two bff’s share similar taste in jewelry – they showed us the rings they found at a little shop in Fremont – made of repurposed clock parts – love it!! :)

{ Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology }

Stacy loves playing tennis and being outdoors, and her passion for cooking & baking have her looking toward a career as a pastry chef :) She seems a little shy & quiet at first, but it only takes a few minutes for her fun personality to start to bubble to the surface ;D

We want to give a special shout-out to hello, Cupcake – we love that the outside of their shop offered some great props for Stacy’s photos, so we all went in and enjoyed a tasty treat and their retro-cute atmosphere – YUM :-p  (I know – we have a rough job, right? ;)

{ Steilacoom High School } { Olympia High School }

You could say that when it comes to which high school she’s from, she has “dual citizenship” ;)  She spent her first 3 years of HS attending Olympia High School, but will spend her senior year at Steilacoom High School.  Throw in the time she spent studying in the Medical Professions program at New Market Skills Center and maybe she should actually claim to be a triple citizen ;D

Stephanie said she chose Mode because she likes the style of our work – we like her style, too! :) She’s passionate about dance and volunteering to help others, and she’s on the fast track toward her dream of becoming an RN – after finishing up the New Market program, she’s already taken the exam for to be a licensed CNA! We met Stephanie and a few of her friends for a fun session in downtown Olympia :)

{ Shelton High School }

We’re so happy to be working with Samantha this year! This is a young woman with a plan – next spring she’ll be a dual graduate at both Shelton HS and SPSCC, with ultimate plans to become a veterinarian. She also loves being a member of the HS dance team. We met Samantha & her friend Kaylee in downtown Oly on one of the (maybe 2) sunny days we’ve had so far since spring began :) Check out a few of our faves from our fun time together!

This building has alot of history – in general and for Samantha :) – she has spent countless hours studying dance here over the past several years!

Yay – this is the 4th time we’ve been lucky enough to work with Tresa’s family!  The first was when Bill photographed big sister Trisha’s wedding – next came senior photos for Troy & Titus, and this time is was Tresa’s turn :)  Tresa loves animals, so we met her at Woodland Park Zoo on a sunny Sunday afternoon (maybe ‘the’ sunny Sunday afternoon for this particular spring?) for a fun senior photo session.

These next two were a couple of Tresa’s faves – she loved that we got the giraffes in the background! :)

It was fun to see Trisha again – she was a great sport to be on her feet on a hot afternoon – with the arrival of her first baby only a week away!  Love this photo of the two sisters having fun with each other :D

Of course when the sun shines in the PNW, everyone gets outside to soak it up :)  and the zoo was a popular destination – so after our tour there, we spent some time the gorgeous UW campus – where we had a little more elbow room and found some great backdrops for a few more photos.

Thanks, Tresa – we had a lot of fun working with you – and we’re looking forward to catching up with your family again soon! :)
